ALOR GAJAH: Activist Jay Jay Denis was earlier arrested and has since been freed on police bail here.

Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Arshad Abu said the activist was released at 11.03pm on Sunday (Oct 9) after his statement was recorded at police headquarters.

The activist was earlier arrested over an allegedly insensitive tweet relating to Melaka Yang di-Pertua Tun Dr Mohd Ali Rustam.

It is believed it was over a tweet Denis made on Sept 6 about police allegedly blocking traffic on the Sprint Highway in Kuala Lumpur to make a U-turn.

The convoy was apparently escorting Dr Mohd Ali.
