Customers that choose to subscribe to certain unifi Home and unifi Biz fibre plans will now receive Wi-Fi 6 Certified router and mesh system from TM. The company have begun to roll out the new equipment on 1 December according to an announcement on unifi Community.
In order to obtain the Wi-Fi 6 Certified router and mesh system, one has to subscribe to the unifi 300Mbps plan or higher. The change has since been reflected on the official page for both unifi Home and unifi Biz fibre plans.
Meanwhile, the exact router and mesh system that customers would receive from TM was not specifically mentioned in the announcement. However, we believe the router is a FiberHome SR1041Y while customers would likely be provided with the TP-Link Deco X60 based on the information listed on this particular section of unifi’s official website.
Price-wise, the unifi Home 300Mbps plan currently costs RM199 per month while the monthly fee for the 500Mbps and 800Mbs plans are RM249 and RM349, respectively. As for the unifi Biz offerings, they cost slightly higher at RM249 for the 300Mbps plan and RM299 for 500Mbps although the 800Mbps plan is priced just like the Home plan at RM349.
