In the post, CIMB said that a “connectivity issue” has affected these services although it didn’t provide any in-depth details regarding the downtime. Furthermore, the bank also has yet to provide any estimated time of recovery although it is already working to put these services back into operation.

We are currently monitoring the situation and will keep you updated as soon as more information regarding the downtime comes our way.

UPDATE (11:50 PM):

Less than two hours after the downtime notice was published, CIMB released a quick update regarding the situation at 11:39 PM. The bank noted that all of the affected services are now operational once again.

As you can tell from the brief post on the bank’s official social media pages, there was no explanation about the exact nature of the “connectivity issue” that CIMB experienced tonight. While tonight’s downtime seemed to be relatively short-lived and was not as bad as some of the bank’s previous incidents, plenty of customers were not happy about it, based on the comments that were left on the bank’s Facebook page as well as Twitter.
