JAKARTA: The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Indonesia has crossed the 9,000 mark with death cases rising to 765.

Indonesian government spokesman on COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto said there were 214 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive cases to 9,096.

“From 12 noon yesterday to 12 noon today, there were 22 more COVID-19 deaths,” he told the daily COVID-19 media conference aired via the Indonesian National Agency for Disaster Management’s official YouTube channel.

Achmad Yurianto said in the past 24 hours, 44 COVID-19 patients recovered, making the total number of recoveries from the disease to 1,151 patients.
