The United States (US) remains the country with the highest number of fatalities with 46,000 deaths.

Uncle Sam's country recorded an increase of 2,600 deaths within the last 24 hours.

This was followed by Italy which recorded an increase of 485 casualties, totalling more than 25,000 deaths.

Spain became the third-worst affected country with over 500 casualties, bringing a total of 21,700 deaths.

France recorded an increase of 640 casualties, resulting in a total of 21,300 deaths.

The United Kingdom (UK) recorded an increase of 800 new casualties, bringing the total number to 18,000.

However, most European countries that have been severely affected over the last month have begun to show declining death toll from day to day.
