Covid-19: Sabah’s daily cases drop to 197 on Sunday (Dec 12)

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded its lowest new Covid-19 cases per day on Sunday (Dec 12) since June 29, this year.

Minister in charge of Covid-19 matters in Sabah, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, said the state recorded 197 new cases and one death.

Out of these new cases, over 98% are those under categories one and two.

He said eight districts saw zero new cases.

These districts are Semporna, Telupid, Lahad Datu, Kinabatangan, Kunak, Tongod, Kalabakan and Putatan.

Masidi said overall, a total of 1,042 people are still being treated for Covid-19 in the various treatment centres including hospitals to date.

Out of this number, 48 patients require critical care while 14 still depend on ventilators.
