Dr Wee gives Jabi satay a thumbs up

PETALING JAYA: Terengganu’s little town of Jabi in Besut – known for being the state’s capital of satay – has received the thumbs up from Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Transport Minister was on the east coast for a working visit and made a stopover to Sate Mastura – one of the many satay stalls in Jabi.

“Frequent travellers on the road between Terengganu and Kelantan will know that Jabi is a must-stop place.

“If you have not tried it, I can definitely say the satay in Jabi is delicious and tastes different from other places.

“I was told that there are more than 10 satay shops around Jabi and each one has its own unique taste,” said Dr Wee in a Facebook post on Friday (Sept 2).

Jabi is located in the district of Besut in northern Terengganu and is one and a half hours drive to Kuala Terengganu – the state’s capital.

The minister earlier visited the ECRL project site in Kelantan before heading southwards to Kuala Terengganu.
