Man injured after crashing MPV into crane in Tangkak

TANGKAK: A man was injured after the MPV he was driving hit a crane on Friday (Aug 5).

According to the Johor Operations Centre (PGO), it received an emergency call regarding the incident at 2.03pm.

“The victim was driving an MPV at Jalan Tangkak heading to Muar when he hit the crane,” Tangkak Fire and Rescue station chief Rafiah Aziz said in a statement.

She said 17 firefighters from Tangkak and Bukit Gambir Fire and Rescue stations were deployed to the scene.

“Our men have to use special rescue tools to rescue the victim who was trapped in the car,” she said.

Rafiah said the 35-year old victim was handed over to the paramedic team.

The operations led by senior officer II, K. Kumar, ended at 3.13pm.
