PETALING JAYA: Water supply in 463 areas affected by the odour pollution at Sungai Semenyih is expected to be fully restored by Friday (Dec 17) night.

“As odour was no longer detected at the water intake, Air Selangor has commenced the raw water treatment process at the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant (Sg Semenyih WTP).

“This is to ensure that clean and safe treated water can be distributed to consumers.

“The water supply in all 463 areas is expected to fully recover at 11.30pm, Dec 17,” the statement said.

It added that water tankers will continue to be sent out to affected and critical areas.
