Sources are tight-lipped, saying what transpired was between the King and Prime Minister.

“It could be about anything,” said a source.

On Thursday (Oct 6), Ismail Sabri had an audience with the King, a weekly pre-Cabinet meeting.

Due to the intense interest, Istana Negara issued a statement regarding the meeting. Saying: “The Pre-Cabinet meeting is among weekly activities and an important routine of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to discuss and exchange views with the Prime Minister on government matters and issues.”

Ismail Sabri has kept the public guessing as to when Parliament will be dissolved to make way for GE15.

Umno has repeatedly called for GE15 to be held this year, while other political parties oppose this, citing among others, concerns about the monsoon season.
