Just a little over a month after it launched the Watch 3, realme launched another wearable in the form of the Watch 3 Pro. The higher-end model brings a lot of upgrades over the vanilla version while still keeping it at an affordable price point.

The fitness-oriented connected watch sports a 1.78-inch display, nominally smaller than the Watch 3, which uses an AMOLED screen instead of LCD and maintains the peak brightness of 500 nits. Design-wise, the new watch looks exactly the same as its lower-end counterpart, with curved edges and a single navigational button on the side, as well as a silicone strap.

The standard model had a relatively short usage time of seven days despite getting a bigger battery but with the new Pro variant, it boasts an improved 10-day battery life under normal usage, even though the battery has been slightly reduced to 325mAh. realme also brought over the Bluetooth calling feature to the Watch 3 Pro which has also been equipped with speakers and a dual-microphone array to help deliver the noise cancelling feature for phone calls.

The health features for the Watch 3 Pro include over 110 sports modes and built-GPS for phone-less tracking, with automatic detection for five types of workouts. It also comes with the usual sensors for monitoring your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, sleep, and, of course, menstrual cycle.

Aside from being rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, realme claims some relatively impressive durability stats for the budget smartwatch. It can apparently withstand 500 drop tests, has 72 hours of salt spray corrosion resistance, and can stand in temperatures between 50C to -10C.

The realme Watch 3 Pro, which comes in black and grey options, goes on sale for INR4,999 (~RM282) in India starting 9 September. The brand has not yet announced the pricing or availability for Malaysia, but based on the Watch 3, the Pro model will most likely retail with a higher price tag than in India if the watch ever made its way to our market.
