Seremban Bomba rescues five in car swept away by flash floods

SEREMBAN: The Fire and Rescue Department came to the rescue of five people including two children and an infant after the car they were in was swept away by floodwaters.

A department spokesman said they received a call from the public about the 5.36pm incident and immediately dispatched a team.

“We were told that a car had been swept away by flood waters in Kg Dingkir in Kuala Pilah.

“We reached the scene located 7km away in nine minutes and managed to rescue two women, two children and an infant,” he said in a statement.

He said the public, Civil Defence Force personnel and police also assisted in operation.

The victims were later sent to a relief centre in Kg Dingkir.
