Strong winds damage houses and uproot trees, injuring three boys in Kuantan

KUANTAN: Strong winds uprooted dozens of trees in Semambu, one of which crashed onto a Keluarga Malaysia Digital Economy Centre (PEDi), and injured three boys following heavy rain here.

Kampung Alor Akar head Ramli M Taib said during the incident at about 4pm Friday (Oct 14), the roofs of more than 10 houses were blown away.

Several vehicles were damaged by uprooted trees, he said.

“The boys were sent to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for treatment,” he told reporters here.

Indera Mahkota MP Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah in a Facebook post said the Skuad Prihatin Bencana Perikatan Nasional Indera Mahkota had extended aid to the victims.
