KULAI: A teenager died on the spot after he was involved in an accident at Jalan Bukit Batu, Sedenak on Wednesday (May 25) near here.

Kulai Fire and Rescue station acting chief Bahtiar Selamat said it received an emergency call regarding the incident at about 2.33pm.

“Nine firemen with a Light Rapid Transit (LRT) vehicle and an Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) vehicle were deployed to the scene,” he said in a statement.

Bahtiar said the incident involved a motorcycle ridden by two male students and a lorry loaded with stones.

He said the 14-year-old deceased, a pillion rider, was identified as Iskandar Zulkarnain Mohd Shafiee and the 15-year-old rider known as Mohd Haris Iskandar Shah Istihar.

“The rider suffered injuries while the male lorry driver Yuni@Johni Tau escaped unhurt,’’ said Bahtiar.

He said the body was sent to Kulai Hospital, adding the operations led by senior office II, Mohd Fauzi Che Deris, ended at around 4.05pm.
