Upcoming Logitech Cloud Gaming Handheld Leaks Online

Logitech G Gaming Handheld Google Play

Earlier in the month, Logitech and Tencent announced a partnership to launch what they call a dedicated “cloud gaming handheld”. The launch is supposed to happen closer to the end of the year. But it looks like the device has already been leaked, with some images making their way on to Twitter.

Serial leakster Evan Blass has shared on Twitter what looks like a set of three promotional images of the product. He refers to them as the Logitech G Gaming Handheld, which may very well be the actual name of the thing. As Engadget points out, there’s even a landing page that the company has set up with the same name, further cementing the name in place. Logitech has already filed a DMCA takedown, confirming the authenticity of the images, but not before The Verge saved a copy of all three.

The handheld itself though looks just about as you’d expect it to look like. That is, something in between a Nintendo Switch Lite and a Steam Deck or its competitors. Perhaps leaning more towards the former, since the positions of the left analogue stick and D-pad are reversed, just like the Nintendo handheld. Though the face buttons follow the Microsoft format, which the Steam Deck does as well.

Beyond these, it has a Home button on the lower right corner, a button with the Logitech logo on the lower left corner, as well as the meatballs and kebab menu buttons on the top left and top right corners, respectively. On the top shoulder are a pair of two, well, shoulder buttons.

One screenshot shows the Logitech G Gaming Handheld running Google Play, hinting at possibly running Android games natively. But for other console or PC games, it will more than likely be relying on the cloud gaming side of things.

As mentioned earlier, Logitech G is supposed to officially reveal this Gaming Handheld by the end of the year. That’s likely when we will learn more details of its spec sheet, like the processor it is running, its screen size, as well as its pricing and availability details.
